Adirondacks by Carl Heilman Ii
The Adirondacks are a natural treasure of the USA with millions of visitors each year. Bigger than the Grand Canyon, Glacier, Yellowstone and Yosemite combined, this book contains an array of mountains, wild land, forests, rivers and lakes, waterfalls and deep gorges, as well as many small towns.
Carl Heilman has spent the last 30 years hiking and photographing his beloved Adirondack Mountains. His photographs of the region's incomparable grandeur and beauty continue to be popular in limited edition prints and posters, as well as published in national and regional magazines such as Outside and National Parks, and presented as shows on PBS. Heilman's images qualify him as one of the premier ambassadors to the areas mountains and waterways. His most recent exhibition, "The Adirondacks: A Wilderness of Waterways" is currently on view at the Adirondack Park Visitors Interpretive Center. Every year he produces a wall calendar of his work in conjunction with the Lake George Land Conservancy and Lake George Association.
