He is also very involved in the fields of environmental design and gaia philosophy (inspired by the view of the earth as a living organism). Pearson is the founder of the educational non-profit making Ecological Design Association and a founding member of Gaia International, an innovative group of ecoarchitects drawn from 12 countries.
