Ballet Kitty by Bernette Ford
Ballet Kitty and her friend Princess Pussycat are very excited to begin ballet classes. They're all dressed up and ready to make perfect plies in their pretty ballet slippers. But when their classmate Ginger Tom arrives, he is dressed in his trainers and shorts! In this tale of joining in and having fun, Ballet Kitty learns that it isn't what you what you wear that makes you a prima ballerina.
Simplicity of style is part of the charm of the soft pencil-line and wash illustrations in pastel coloursStanding out cleanly against a plain white background, they convey and complememt the storyline. A simple and charmingly narrative with characters clearly delineated through their colour coded dress sense! Books for Keeps
