Jim Davidson by Jim Davidson

Jim Davidson is a popular face in the entertainment world, but how well do you really know him? His autobiography reveals him to be a complex man who has lived a fascinating life. Read about the tough times as well as the good. This autobiography focuses on how he managed to turn his life around, revive a flagging career and fight alcoholism. See how Jim transformed himself from a blue-motuhed, alcoholic stand-up comic to the face of BBC Family Entertainment and Chairman of the British Forces Foundation.
Jim is currently single and lives in Godalming, Surrey. His career was launched in 1976 when he won New Faces, and television, variety and pantomime shows followed. In 1979 The Jim Davidson Show was first screened, and ran for five series. Success continued throughout the eighties, and in 1995 he took over The Generation Game from Bruce Forsyth. Jim is also the Worshipful Master of one of Britain's leading Masonic lodges.
