Rude Rabbit by Colin Hawkins

Rude Rabbit is so rude! He calls Mr Flipper the Fishmonger "Fish Face" and he steals all Clever Cat's toffees, and then he wonders why he hasn't got any friends. Rude Rabbit decides that if he wants friends, he'd better learn to mend his manners...and everyone else's, too! Rude Rabbit shouts at people, nicks their sweets without saying "please" or "thank you" and generally rubs people up the wrong way. Then one day he meets Honey Bunny and it's love at first sight. "Gimme a kiss!" he shouts. But Honey Bunny is not interested in such impolite overtures and just sticks her pretty pink nose in the air and walks off. Daft Dog suggests that a visit to the library might help Rude Rabbit improve his manners and help him make himself some friends. Rude Rabbit is converted and decides that everyone should have good manners -- "And I'm just the rabbit to show them!" So he sets up the Rude Rabbit Rudeness Roadshow and goes on tour. AGE 3-7
Colin and Jacqui Hawkins both trained in graphic design at art college. Colin decided to take up writing children's books in the early 1980's because he 'wanted to make children's books funnier'.
