Journalist and sportswriter Marty Dugard is a frequent contributor to Sports Illustrated, GQ, Esquire, and other magazines. He is the author of Knockdown: A True Story of Sailors and the Sea. Well-known for his reporting of endurance sports events, he has covered adventure racing since its inception. A marathoner and triathlete, Marty lives in Orange County, California with his wife and three children.
