Kress is also a research fellow at Cornell University and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine. Author of The Audubon Society Birder's Handbook and The Audubon Society Guide to Attracting Birds, Kress has also written many scientific papers on the restoration of seabirds such as puffins and terns.
