The Boy and the Trout by Richard Ffrench-Constant

This delightful story book, illustrated with delicate water colours, aims to encourage early primary school kids (4-7 years old) to follow Harry's lead and go fishing whilst meanwhile enjoying the outdoors.
Richard ffrench-Constant has fished for trout since he was a boy and was taught to fish by his father in Cornwall. By telling the angling story of young Harry in this book, he hopes to encourage all children, including his own, to go outdoors and discover the natural world. He works as a professional entomologist at the University of Exeter. This is his second book with Brambleby Books, the first being the also beautifully illustrated picture book 'The Elephant and the Mountain'.
