Dr. Robert Jeffress is the Senior Pastor of Dallas' First Baptist Church, which has a congregation of 14,000 people, and a Fox News commentator. He also teaches at Dallas Theological Seminary as an adjunct professor. Dr. Jeffress has appeared on over 2,000 radio and television shows and is a frequent on Fox News' Fox and Friends, The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Varney and Co., and Judge Jeanine; ABC's Good Morning America; and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. Dr. Jeffress conducts Journey to Victory, a daily radio program heard on over 800 stations worldwide, including Dallas-Fort Worth, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Houston, and Seattle. His weekly television show is broadcast in 195 countries and 11,283 cable and satellite systems worldwide, including China, as well as on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar.
Choosing the Extraordinary Life, When Forgiveness Doesn't Make Reason, Countdown to the Apocalypse, and Not All Roads Lead to Paradise are just a few of Dr. Jeffress's books. Dr. Jeffress recently oversaw the completion of a $135 million re-creation of his congregation's downtown site. The project is the largest in modern church history, and it covers six blocks of downtown Dallas as a spiritual refuge. Dr. Jeffress holds a DMin, a ThM, and a BS from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Baylor University, respectively.
He obtained a Doctor of Divinity degree from Dallas Baptist University in May 2010 and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's Outstanding Alumni of the Year award in June 2011. Dr. Jeffress has two daughters, Julia and Dorothy, as well as a son-in-law, Ryan Sadler.
