David Wheeler is founder and editor of Hortus. He is the author of several books, a contributor to national newspapers and magazines and the editor of the anthology Hortus Revisited. In 2009, he was awarded one of the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) highest accolades, the Veitch Memorial Medal. The Veitch Memorial Medal is awarded annually to persons of any nationality who have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement and improvement of the science and practice of horticulture.
