A comprehensive guide to the lives, thought and writings of C.S. Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Charles Williams, Owen Barfield and their friends. The book falls into two parts: the first introducing the Inklings, with the second longer part in dictionary format, with many biographical articles, as well as substantial entries on the Inklings' writings, themes and theology.
Colin Duriez is the author of The CS Lewis Handbook (Monarch), The C.S. Lewis Encyclopedia (Crossway, 2000), The Poetic Bible (SPCK, 2001) and the forthcoming Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings (Azure). He is also General Books Editor at Inter-Varsity Press. He lives in Leicester. David Porter is a much published writer, novelist and poet. His books include Putting the Gospel First (Crossway, 1995), Children at Risk (Kingsway, 1998) and The Monarch Book of Sins and Virtues (1999). He lives in Greatham, Hampshire.
