Peter has won numerous awards for his television work including a special BAFTA award and Emmy nomination for his television special Britain's Got the Pop Factor. Peter has had a total of four Number 1 hit singles in aid of charity, including an animated song for Children In Need and (Is This The Way To) Amarillo? for Comic Relief.
But it's as a writer that Peter's humour has been widely celebrated with two self penned books, Saturday Night Peter and The Sound of Laughter. The latter holds the record as the fastest selling British hardback autobiography since records began.
Peter was born, raised and still lives in his beloved hometown of Bolton. Where he enjoys cross country running and needle point...yeah right.
