Redneck Night Before Christmas by David Davis

David Davis, who studied fine art at Stephen F. Austin University in Texas, is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. With Trucker's Night Before Christmas and Nurse's Night Before Christmas, also published by Pelican, Davis established himself as a writer of humor that appeals to both children and adults. His third book from Pelican, Jazz Cats, was a Children's Book Choice for 2002 and an Accelerated Reader Program selection. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
James Rice has illustrated Pelican Publishing Company's best-selling Night Before Christmas series for more than thirty years. Widely acclaimed as the South's leading illustrator of juvenile books, Mr. Rice is the illustrator and/or author of more than sixty titles, with almost two million copies in print. Rice was born on a farm in Coleman County, Texas, and currently resides in Hico, Texas. He has taught art at the grammar-school, high-school, and university levels and enjoys talking to schoolchildren across the country about writing and art.
