Michael Ford has worked as a news producer for BBC and was a newsreader for a large city radio station. He holds a PhD in Christian spirituality. Ford is the author of the best-selling spiritual biography, Father Mychal Judge: An Authentic American Hero, Wounded Prophet: A Portrait of Henri J. M. Nouwen (which won First Prize for History/Biography in the 2000 Book Awards of the Catholic Press Association of North America).
