Stone Island by Ian Edginton

This book is set in Dartmoor, 2006. On this vast and desolate moorland stands Long Barrow Maximum Security Prison, home to some of the UK's most dangerous inmates. David Sorrel has just been sentenced to life there following his conviction for murdering his wife and her lover. As a new fish, he faces intimidation and persecution at the hands of Long Barrow's resident psychopaths...
Ian Edginton has co-created The Red Seas, Leviathan, Interceptor and American Gothic for 2000 AD. He has also scripted The Establishment for DC/Wildstorm as well as the graphic novels Scarlet Traces and Kingdom of the Wicked, published by Dark Horse. Simon Davis' unique, angular painted style has been a fixture of 2000 AD favourite Sinister Dexter for some years now. He has also found the time to create B.L.A.I.R. 1 and Black Siddha, as well as contributing to Downlode Tales, Judge Dredd, Missionary Man, Outlaw, Plagues of Necropolis, Tales of Telguuth, Tharg the Mighty and Vector 13. His most recent non-2000 AD work was on DC's JLA: Riddle of the Beast.
