The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf
Soon to be a major motion picture!Ferdinand is the world's most peaceful--and--beloved little bull. While all of the other bulls snort, leap, and butt their heads, Ferdinand is content to just sit and smell the flowers under his favorite cork tree. Leaf's simple storytelling paired with Lawson's pen-and-ink drawings make The Story of Ferdinand a true classic. Commemorate the 75th anniversary of the book's original publication with this beautiful and affordable 8x8 paperback edition.
Munro Leaf wrote and illustrated a large number of children's books. His most famous work is The Story of Ferdinand, which was first published in 1936 and has remained a bestseller ever since. Robert Lawson, Ludwig Bemelmans, and Theodor Seuss Geisel (commonly known as Dr Seuss) are just a few of the great illustrators who have worked on his books. Leaf also wrote the amusing non-fiction series How to Behave and Why, Etiquette Can Be Fun, and How To Talk Politely, which was reprinted after a pause. At the age of 71, Leaf died in 1976.
