Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Gutters heavily cracked with exposed netting; feels loose overall. Heavy cracking to rear hinge also. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Text block edges dusty. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and frayed. Notable tear to head of spine. Quite scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Several dents to board edges. Forward leaning with a slightly cocked spine. Gilt is dull.
