Instinctive Quilt Art by Bethan Ash
Bethan Ash's rich, colourful quilts are created using improvisational collage techniques. Working instinctively, she simply layers fabric shapes onto a prepared background and fuses them down, then adds stitching later.
Bethan Ash is a professional quiltmaker and teacher, with a background in fashion design. She has exhibited widely and her work has been bought by museums in the UK and US, including the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. She is a member of the international Quilt Art group. This is her first book. She lives in Cardiff.
