The Love of an Apple Tree by Yoon-Ho Cho
Poetry. The poems of Yoon-Ho Cho are delicate, detailed, and strike the reader with their sensitive beauty. The opening poem, 'Apple Tree, ' illustrates in itself the wonderful qualities of Korean poetry, which - for me at least - are an artist's eye for focused observation, an arresting and honest accessibility, and depths as deep as the shining mirror of a well. I love Yoon-Ho Cho's poet's veneration of nature and the controlled concision of his creative vision.--Peter Thabit Jones
