Greedy Goat by Colin Hawkins

Greedy Goat is always so hungry that she’ll eat absolutely anything! Her shopping bills are enormous and she soon runs out of money. Eventually, she gets fed up with nibbling at her clothes and her furniture and makes an appointment with the bank manager to borrow some money. When he refuses her, for fear that she will simply eat it, she decides to find herself a job. Soon she has set up the Greedy Goat Lawn-Munching and Garden-Nibbling Service and she is so popular that it is not long before she is taking on employees to help her. She becomes hugely rich and hugely famous, but somehow she’s still never quite full enough… AGE 3-7

Colin and Jacqui Hawkins’ unique style and verve are evident in Greedy GoatLike Daft Dog, it gives lots of opportunities for children to join in with the story – the possibility of a riotous story time is never far away! Greedy Goat is so hungry that she would eat absolutely anything – she inhabits a delightfully nutty world in which animals behave in the weirdest of ways. Bookseller and Publishing News

Colin and Jacqui Hawkins both trained in graphic design at art college. Colin decided to take up writing children’s books in the early 1980’s because he ‘wanted to make children’s books funnier’. Both of them love reading and TV comedy.
