During the long hot summer Poppy Eyebright is busy in her dairy while downstream Dusty Dogwood is busy in his mill. Dusty and Poppy spend more and more time together by the banks of the cooling stream and by midsummer the mice of Brambly Hedge are preparing for a very special day ! The mice of Brambly Hedge have many adventures but they always have time for fun too. While training as an illustrator at St Martin’s School of Art, her long journeys to college gave her time to escape into the imaginary world of a colony of mice, later to be developed as the enchanting miniature world of Brambly Hedge.
